Southern Federal University became an autonomous institution Southern Federal University became autonomous according to the RF government order # 13-p from January 16, signed by the prime-minister Vladimir Putin published on the site of the Cabinet Ministry.
In the document it’s said: “To form the federal state autonomous educational institution of higher professional education “Southern Federal University” by means of changing the type of the existing federal state educational institution of higher professional education “Southern Federal University”. The property secured to the federal state educational institution of higher professional education “Southern Federal University” is all secured to the autonomous institution. The government ordered that the agency for Russian education, which is the establisher of the autonomous institution, hold activities connected with its foundation and that Russian property together with the agency for Russian education should secure all the property to the autonomous institution within 6 months.
